The Junction is one of Toronto’s best hidden gems. In past years it has had a reputation for being dirty and under developed. But Generation Go dug deep and we noticed this area has tons of stuff to see and do and is quite developed. Here are our top picks for the best of The Junction.
Boulderz Climbing Centre: Located at 1444 Dupont Street, Boulberz is the place to be if you like rock climbing. They have a really decent selection of high wall options as well as some good boulder runs. The facility is clean and well maintained. They offer classes to beginners and professionals.
Shoxs Billiard Lounge: Shoxs is your classic pool hall. It has a bar, a large screen tv, and lots of well maintained pool tables. The owners are friendly and the atmosphere is that of a pool hall. Check them out at 2827 Dundas Street west.
Rhythm & Motion Dance Studios: Rhythm and Motion Dance Studio was established in 1995 and offers a full range of high quality instruction in Argentine Tango, Salsa, Ballroom, Latin and Belly Dancing. They are located at 2844 Dundas Street west.
McBride Cycle-Bicycles: McBride’s has been around quite a while now and they know a lot about bikes. The have a great selection of bikes to choose from and knowledgeable staff. They also do repairs. You can find them 2797 Dundas west or call 416-763-5651 for more details.
Warriors World Championship Martial Arts: Learn the art of martial arts at Warriors! They have an abundance of well versed staff waiting to teach you how to kick but. They are located at 1444 Dupont Street.
Vesuvio’s Pizzeria & Spaghetti House: Here you will find good quality thin crust pizza and some really good pasta dishes including their chicken parmigiana. They are located at 3010 Dundas west.
Axis Gallery and Grill: Located at 3048 Dundas west, Axis has a good selection of food and drinks. The also have a downstairs lounge with leather couches, a big screen tv, pool tables and a bar.
Just 4 The Halibut: Not only does this place have a great name they also serve up some pretty great seafood. All the dishes here are priced around $10 and their specialty is of course halibut. They are located at 3020 Dundas Street west.
Somporn Thai Cuisine: Located at 2961 Dundas Street west this is one Thai place not to miss out on. Their soups and noodle dishes are highly recommended.
